Women of the Fur Trade
- MAY 1 – MAY 24
Three women sit trapped together in a frontier fort: a Métis dreamer scribbling flirtatious letters to Louis Riel, a savvy Ojibwe trapper skeptical of rebellion, and a British settler worried about her absent husband. As they sip tea, banter, and weigh the fate of a budding resistance, they twist history into something fresh, fierce, and funny. This is satire with teeth. Women of the Fur Trade reminds us that the women at the edges of history were never bystanders.
